Disability is defined as any limitation, restriction or impairment which restricts everyday activities and has lasted, or is likely to last, for at least six months. It’s estimated one in every six Australians aged 65 years and over are living with a disability, an increase from just over one in every 10 in 2015.

Our panel of experts explore ageing and disability supports, barriers and strategies to enable informed choices.

This webinar covers:

  • The key differences between the NDIS and Aged Care Systems, enabling informed choice
  • Barriers and strategies to overcome accessing services and support
  • The benefits of being informed and making future care plans
  • Advocacy support.

Meet the panel:

  • Faith Lucas – Advocate, Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia
  • Geoff Rowe – CEO, Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia
  • Kevyn Morris – Member, OPAN National Older Persons Reference Group
  • Martin Butcher – CEO, Regional Disability Advocacy Service
  • Hosted by Kyle Olsen
